In this workshop, you’ll come along into the world of drawing and painting a nude model. Teacher and visual artist Lara Bult studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where drawing and painting nude models is an important part of the classes. Lara will lead this workshop based on the knowledge and experience she gained there.

A nude model will be present for this workshop. Step by step, you’ll sketch a few different poses, after which you can work on a longer pose. During the sketching phase, you’ll work with charcoal, and you’ll have the option to use oil paint later. Experience is not necessary; this workshop is accessible for all levels.

About the instructor
Lara studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, specializing in painting. To her, painting means absolute freedom, not only in what you create, but also in how you feel while you’re painting. As an instructor, Lara thinks that in addition to teaching the techniques, it’s important include the joy of painting.
