In this workshop you will learn the art of looking through painting. It may be obvious that you see more when you look carefully, but the effect will surprise you. Under the guidance of Jurriaan Wesselink you will paint what you really see, without letting your mind take over the viewing.

First, we look together at paintings by great masters. Then everyone gets to work on their own painting. ou will learn about important fundamentals in looking and painting, about light and dark, composition, and form. Jurriaan challenges you to see the world through the eyes of a painter.

As a visual artist, Jurriaan explores different layers of reality. With a background in Econometrics, he knows better than anyone that thinking can take over our senses. As a painter he learned to look and became more aware of the senses.
